Hi, I've had my heart set on getting into UVA for the longest time, but I need some pointers to help lead me the way. Perhaps, what is a good SAT score that will guarantee my acceptance, as well as GPA. Also, what kind of extracurricular activities do they like to see? Here is what I have as of now: I'm currently a junior SAT: n/a GPA: last year- 4.136, cumulative- 4.044 I have had mostly A's all through my school years, perhaps two or three B's in all. I've gotten on e A in one AP class, and a B in another, but I got a 1 and a 2 on the exams (highly doubt I'll receive credit) ha. I have B's in both my AP classes this year. I am currently taking AP English, AP World History, Advanced Chem, Pre-Calculus, Symphonic Band, Drama 3, Latin 3 and Criminal Justice. Next year i plan to take AP English 12(or Dual Enrollment English 12), AP Government, AP Physics, Advanced Chemistry 2, Calculus or AP Statistics, Drama 4, AP Latin, and Symphonic Band. I partake in cheerleading and Honor Bands I'm trying to start doing soccer I used to run track and field I'm in Latin Honor Society, Latin Club, Interact Club, and Drama Club I have received a Bronze Award in Girl Scouts (long time ago), a President's Award for Academic Excellence Award, and a UCA cheer award, and a 'Most Spirited' award in my symphonic band class. ha ha I'm also very active in the fine arts department, seeing as I have just performed in our school's play, as well as our upcoming musical. (: How does this sound for my background so far? I know it's not application ready, but what do you think I should work on or do differently? What should my SAT/ACT/GPA scores be to be a shoe-in for UVA? I want to major in Drama, perhaps Music, and possibly in Medicine. JMU and VCU are also options, but I have my heart set on UVA. (: Thanks for the assistance!! (:... Read More »
