Open Question: how hard is air force training compared to other branches of he military?

Im a 14 year old boy in cross country and track and i am in all honors classes. (dont mean to brag sorry if it sounds like it) i want to go to college for something in the science field either archaeologist or astronomer. I am worried of paying for it so my dad who is the military suggested air force. He said it is a better choice than the military and i trust him but want a second opinion. I looked into it and the subject in the air force i would try following would be the weather field thing (dont know alot of it yet) i would prefer not to have to do the deployments and the combat...although im sure not many WANT to do that. I wan to know if the air force involves combat/fighting or if after basic training it can be a more office like job, depending on the field of course.... Read More »
